Wow, thanks for all your hard work putting this site together. This is fabulous. Researching the Roach, Cullimore, Coventry, Eccott families from Thornbury parish and surrounding areas back to 1700's. Happy to write to anyone with these interests.

This is a fantastic site - it has helped hugely with my research. I am serching for the grandchildren of James Croome, Yeoman, Breadstone, Berkeley. Mentioned in his will 0f 1709 are three grandchildren. William and Thomas Oldland, and Sarah Turner; any information regarding these three would be greatly appreciated. I assume that Oldlands and Turners married daughters of James Croome.

I found this wonderful website quite by chance and thanks to you I have been able to trace many of my relatives. I am researching the Knights (my grandmother's family), who seem to have lived in Berkeley for a couple of hundred years.

First, thank you for the site. I've found details of many relatives here
Second, I wonder if anyone here can help me. I'm trying to find out whether the Amelia Allen born 1809

is the same Amelia Allen who married Daniel Pitcher Knapp in 1843. This marriage does not appear on this website, but does appear at

freebmd website:

Dec 1843 Thornbury 11 687

The information I have is that the Amelia Allen in the marriage was from Morton, the same as the Amelia Allen of the baptism records above. Thank you

This is an incredibly helpful web site. It's difficult to find these kinds of records anywhere, and you have certainly contributed greatly to the work done by family historians and genealogists! Thank you for doing this. I'm researching the Browning and Munday families from Berkeley.

Grt grt grandfather was William Taylor b 1818 who married Charlotte Denning also b 1818 on 18 Sept 1838.
Help please from anyone who can guide me to William's father Thomas Taylor b around 1775, believed to have been born or lived in Herefordshire, maybe at Dilwyn.
I'm touching 79, rather a late starter in tree research, hence call for help!!
