Super site, and one I've often recommended to people. I first came on here about 3 years ago looking for my Lippiatt family with much success. Your hard work is very much appreciated, but why is there not a link for donations towards the costs you must have in running this site.

Much information found on Scribes , and other local sites , regarding family links to the Purnells , Bennetts , Fishers and Strongs found living in and around the Thornbury area .
Would be interested to hear from other interested parties with these surname links .
Like many families in the mid to late 1800' s many moved on to the Bristol area but the known link is still within the Thornbury area late 1700's to late 1800's .

Googled "Thornbury parish records" to find this excellent, and so simple to navigate, website. I have tenuous and yet unproven links to Frederick JENNINGS (Blacksmoith)b.c1858 = Florence Alice CLARK and their 11 children who lived at Morton and Crossways, Thornbury. I am particularly interested in Alfred John Jennings born c February 1901 and any subsequent marriage/family/descendants. Congratuations to everyone who contributed to the website.

Wonderful site. I was directed to you by a recent contact in Australia. Have found three possible new links from your Guest Book and the Parish Records have been a great help. Researching SAVARY/SAVERY/SAVORY/SAVOURY from Thornbury and nearby parishes. My FIELD ancestors also came from Gloucestershire and I now have some more potential links from your site. Please keep up the good work.

Looking for any info. on Trayhurn or Trayhern families. Richard emigrated to Western Australia in 1850, with four daughters. I think he was a widower. His father Thomas, also a tailor was married to Susanna Pitt in 1791 and they had Joseph, esther, Susanna, Ann, Thomas, William and Richard. Any descendants of Thomas still living in the area I would love to hear from.
