To correct previous entry, FHB of Gloucester Road (born 1874) was my great-uncle, but had the same names as my great-grandfather.

Having a casual browse regarding the Burchell family of Thornbury, Frederick Henry Burchell was my great-grandfather. On the Baptism entry for Dorothy Helen Burchell his name is given as Frederick Helen. FHB was known as Uncle Harry to me, he lived at Glenthorne, Gloucester Road and family legend credits him with working in the same firm for sixty or so years.
I think FHB died sometime in the late fifties or early sixties, but I can't remember the exact year.
Thanks for a very useful site, most interesting.
Best Wishes.

Thank you for a very useful website it has helped me make a start,at least, on trying to trace the very elusive Jane WILLIAMS or Oldbury-on-Severn and her father Absolom WILLIAMS. Still trying to trace early information on Jane's son, Thomas WILLIAMS.

I stumbled across this site in an effort to find what the connection was between my grandmother (Beatrice Matilda Bullock) and Berkley. Imagine my surprise when I find the baptism and of her, her sister and brothers on your site. Now - to sort out why they were baptised in Berkeley. Thank you. June
